Two killed in head-on motorcycle collision in Pader
Authorities have urged motorcyclists to exercise caution and avoid riding under the influence of alcohol to prevent further tragedies on the road.

Pader: Two people lost their lives in a motorcycle accident at Corner Budandiri, located in Ajan Sub County along the Gulu-Kitgum highway.
The victims have been identified as Acellam Moses, 45, a resident of Lubala Village, Pungole Parish, Angagura Sub County, and Olworo Sunday, 34, a resident of Olakanganya Village, Lapyem Parish, Laguti Sub County, Pader District.
The fatal crash, which occurred on February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM, involved a head-on collision between two motorcycles: UEV 582W and UEC 449Q, both Bajaj models and red in color.
According to reports, the rider of motorcycle UEV 582W, traveling from Lacokocot towards Kitgum, veered off his lane upon reaching Corner Budandiri and crashed into the oncoming motorcycle UEC 449Q, which was heading toward Gulu. Both riders died instantly.
IP Oloya Joe, the Acting PRO of Aswa East Region, attributed the accident to reckless riding, stating that the rider of UEV 582W was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
He further noted that both motorcycles have been impounded at Atanga Police Station and are pending inspection by the Inspectorate of Vehicle Inspections Department.
