Kikuube: Police in Kikuube district are investigating circumstances under which two people died by suspected poisoning.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region police spokesperson, revealed that the deceased are Phionah Kemigisha, 23, a resident of Byeya village in Kigoyera parish in Kyejojo district, and Sylvia Barungi, 16, a resident of Kikonda in Bubogo Parish, Kabwoya Sub County.
Hakiza disclosed that it’s alleged that on Thursday at around 400 hours, one pastor, Brain, heard his neighbor, one Kemigisha, now deceased, scrambling and making noise in her rented room.
The police officer says the pastor went and informed the landlord, one Ziribaberi Byaruhanga, but the two failed to open the door and went to call the area LC1, broke the door, and found the two already dead.
The two bodies were taken to Kikuube Health Center IV, pending a postmortem.
