Three family members killed in Kakumiro
She expressed her shock upon hearing that her sons were killed over theft.
Kakumiro: Three brothers have been hacked to death by an angry mob in Lwamata A Cell, Lwamata Parish, Mpasana Sub County, Kakumiro District, over allegations of theft.
The deceased trio is Mugarura, Niwagaba, and Mucunguzi, all residents of Lwamata A, LCI. They were hacked multiple times with pangas and axes, and their bodies set ablaze.
The brothers were allegedly killed from their homes in the early hours of Fiday after being found with pork from suspected stolen pigs.
Residents have described the deceased as notorious thieves who have terrorized the area for many years. They are urging the youth to work hard and improve their standards of living instead of engaging in theft.
Pauline Musiimenta, the mother of the deceased, states that she had left her children on the family land while waiting to set up a new house after their old one was blown off by the wind.
She is currently staying in Kyakuterekera with relatives. Musiimenta expressed her shock upon hearing that her sons were killed over theft.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson LCI for Lwamata A, Lawrence Twesiime, has condemned mob justice, urging residents to always involve authorities to maintain peace and harmony in the area.
He further encourages parents to nurture their children well to make them responsible individuals.
By press time, Kakumiro Police had already arrived at the scene of the crime as investigations into the matter continued.
