Speaker Among champions tree planting in Bukedea

Bukedea: The Speaker of Parliament, Annet Anita Among, has championed the tree planting campaign in Bukedea district.
The tree plant campaign was launched on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Kamon Primary School in Bukedea Sub County, Bukedea District, aimed at mitigating climate change in the country.
Speaker Among is in her district waiting to receive the president, who’s expected to officially commission her teaching hospital tomorrow, March 23, 2024.
While addressing the pupils and the community members of Kamon, one said the country is suffering from the challenge of rain patterns due to a lack of trees.
“As today we have started with the exercise of planting trees, I am going to provide more tree seedlings to the school and the community at large,” said Among.
Mr. Charles Amaigor, the chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA said the tree campaign is a good initiative that will benefit both the school and the community.
“This project is of high value since the school pupils will get shade and fruits, and even the community will benefit in numerous ways,” said Amaigor.
Ms. Bety Akol one of the community area resident said the school has been beared without trees.
