Security speaks out on alleged murder of Captain Ricky
Authorities continue to caution the public against spreading unverified information, urging reliance on credible sources to avoid misinformation.
Hoima: Reports have been circulating on social media alleging that Bison Katantazi, popularly known as Captain Ricky from the Ebonies, was shot dead in Hoima.
However, authorities have categorically dismissed these claims as false.
The Albertine Regional Police Spokesperson, Julius Allan Hakiza, clarified that no shooting incident involving Captain Ricky has been reported in the region.
“We want to clarify that reports circulating on social media about the shooting of Bison Katantazi, also known as Captain Ricky from the Ebonies, in Hoima are false,” he stated.
Hakiza also urged the public to rely on accurate sources, particularly the family, for verified information.
“No shooting incident has been registered in Hoima. For accurate information regarding Captain Ricky, please contact his family,” he added.
Similarly, Hoima Resident City Commissioner Badru Mugabi corroborated the police statement, emphasizing that no hospital in Hoima City has recorded or admitted any shooting victims.
“The allegations circulating on social media are false news. No case of murder was reported to any hospital in Hoima,” Mugabi stated.
