SAD! Four perish in Hoima-Butiaba road crash
He says police are investigating the main cause of the accident.
Hoima: Four people tragically lost their lives in a road accident involving a trailer and a motorcycle. The incident occurred Tuesday evening along the Hoima-Butiaba road at Parajwoki Cell, Bujumbura Division, in Hoima City.
The motorcycle, with registration number UFC 344X, collided head-on with the trailer, registered as UAZ 363D/UBA 128A.
Eyewitnesses reported that the rider was traveling from Hoima City to Kigorobya, and the collision resulted in the deaths of the rider and three passengers.
The rider, identified as Kefa Byaruhanga, had been on his way to pick up his wife and two children from Buhimba in Kikuube district.
Tragically, all four individuals lost their lives at the scene. The trailer driver managed to escape after the accident.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Regional Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that they are still gathering details about the deceased.
The police are actively investigating the cause of this devastating accident.
