He urged them, "Let us embrace the project and engage all stakeholders, as this will help our learners perform better."

Masindi: Redearth Uganda has launched a two-year reading project aimed at improving literacy in all 98 government-aided primary schools in the district.
The initiative was unveiled on Friday during the closing of a two-day teachers’ meeting at the Redearth Uganda Boardroom in Masindi Town.
The project focuses on enhancing reading skills in lower primary and across the entire school system.
Robert Muhangi, the Executive Director of Redearth Uganda, explained that the project is designed to address the gap between reading and comprehension, which was identified as a challenge during the release of the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results.
Monica Kiiza, the District Education Officer, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that it would help learners better understand questions during exams.
Sam Ayebale, the Municipal Principal Education Officer, noted that literacy remains a national challenge, adding that all interventions by Redearth are recognized and supported by the Ministry of Education.
Jonathan Busiinge, the Head Teacher of Kabalega Primary School, encouraged fellow head teachers to embrace the project and engage all stakeholders, including parents, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and guardians, in the implementation process.
He urged them, “Let us embrace the project and engage all stakeholders, as this will help our learners perform better.”
