PLE 2024 results out today, how to access them online

UNEB has taken measures to ensure the integrity and security of the examination process.

Kampala: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will release the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results today, Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Officials from UNEB briefed First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, on the release Tuesday. The briefing took place at State House Nakasero.

Following the briefing, officials confirmed that the results will be released today, Thursday, January 23, 2025.

A total of 798,771 candidates registered for the 2024 examination, an increase of 6.6% from the 749,254 candidates who sat for the 2023 exams. These candidates wrote their exams at 15,311 centers across the country.

Pupils who sat for the exams can now access their results online. The PLE results can be viewed on the UNEB eReg Portal via a direct link provided.

To check the UNEB PLE results, pupils can visit the website and click on the direct link provided. The link will take them to the UNEB eReg Portal, where they can enter their index number to view their results.

Alternatively, students can also check their results through SMS by sending their index number to 6600. This service costs 500 shillings for each SMS sent.

Students who took the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams in 2024 can check their results online.

UNEB provides a direct link to check the UCE results for the year 2024.

To check the UCE results online, students need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the UNEB eReg portal via https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.
  2. On the results page, enter your index number.
  3. Click on search and wait for your results to show up on the next page.

Students can also view their PLE results online via this link: https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/eresults/. The results can be viewed by entering the index number and selecting the examination type.

If students face any issues while checking their results, they can follow the troubleshooting steps given below:

  1. Check the internet connection and reload the page.
  2. Clear the cache and cookies from the browser.
  3. Try accessing the website from a different browser.
  4. If the problem persists, contact the UNEB support team via email or phone.

It is important to note that the UNEB results are also available in PDF format. Students can download the PLE results PDF from the UNEB website. The PDF contains the results for all the candidates who appeared for the PLE exams in 2024.
