Hoima: Parents have been urged to monitor their children closely after schools have officially broken off for second-term holidays.
Johnson Kusiima Baingana, the Hoima city principal education officer, said that parents should keep a close watch on the activities their children do during this holiday.
Fred Musinguzi, the head teacher of Duhaga Boys primary schools, appealed to parents to encourage their children to revise their books during the holidays.
Milton Niyirema, the director of studies at Premier Secondary School, discouraged parents from letting their children spend the holidays away from them.
Hussein Burhan Kaahwa, the director of Hoima Town Mosque Primary School, requested that parents control the amount of time their children spend watching television.
The second term holidays officially began on August 2, 2024, and will end on September 15, 2024. The third term will officially start on Monday, September 16, 2024.
