New Kisukuma sub-county chief rejected

Meanwhile, Tinkasimire instructed Aliguma to focus on improving revenue collection, a key priority for the sub-county.

Hoima: The Kisukuma Sub-County Executive Committee has rejected the appointment of their new Sub-County Chief, Dan Busobozi, citing allegations of poor performance during his previous tenure in the same role.

Busobozi, who had previously been demoted to the position of Parish Chief following his transfer from Kisukuma Sub-County, was recently promoted back to Sub-County Chief. He was set to replace Henry Balinda, who had served in the role for the past four months.

The handover ceremony, scheduled for this afternoon, was abruptly blocked when members of the sub-county executive committee forcibly closed the office doors to prevent Busobozi from assuming his new role.

Godfrey Bainomugisa, the LC3 Chairperson of Kisukuma Sub-County, justified the rejection, stating that Busobozi had failed to make any positive impact during his previous tenure.

However, Busobozi refuted the allegations, arguing that his rejection was a result of his refusal to conform to the personal interests of the LC3 Chairperson during his previous term as Sub-County Chief.

Following the standoff, Balinda officially handed over the office to Jackson Tinkasimire, the Acting Principal Assistant Secretary (PAS) in the Office of the CAO of Hoima District.

Tinkasimire, in turn, delegated authority to Wilfred Aliguma, the Parish Chief of Ndaragi, to assume the role of Sub-County Chief until further notice.

During the handover, Balinda urged the new Sub-County Chief to work closely with the sub-county leadership to ensure smooth administration.

Meanwhile, Tinkasimire instructed Aliguma to focus on improving revenue collection, a key priority for the sub-county.
