Namisindwa seeks government support for seven community primary schools

According to Bwayo, the first submission was made on April 13, 2021, followed by another on February 28, 2022.

Namisindwa: Namisindwa District Chairperson Bwayo Emma has appealed to the Ministry of Education and Sports to expedite the coding of seven community primary schools to enable them to benefit from government support and education grants.

In a letter dated October 14, 2026, addressed to the Minister of Education and Sports, Bwayo said the district had submitted the schools for consideration for coding and government grant aid in 2021 and 2022, but the process had not yet been completed.

According to Bwayo, the first submission was made on April 13, 2021, followed by another on February 28, 2022.

He noted that all seven schools were operational and had registered high enrolment, making it urgent for the ministry to conclude the process and extend government support to the institutions.

The schools include St. Joseph Naluwande in Magale Town Council, Bilal Primary School in Lwakhakha Town Council, Namunyali Siteka SDA Primary School, Bukhabikula Salvation Army Community School, St. Monica Buwundu Community Primary School, St. Kaloli Lwanga Community Primary School and St. Paul Primary School in Bukokho.

Bwayo expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Education and Sports, President Yoweri Museveni and the government for the support extended to Namisindwa District, while calling for further intervention to address the needs of the seven schools.

He also attached copies of the previous submissions to help the ministry review the request and expedite a decision.

The district hopes that coding the schools will enable them to access government education support, improve their operations and better serve the growing number of learners.

The Ministry of Education and Sports had not issued a response to the latest appeal at the time of publication.
