Muhoozi appoints Amongin as Women’s Council Representative for Teso
The appointees are expected to work collaboratively to bring about meaningful change and development in the Teso Sub-region.
Kampala: The National Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed Hon. Jacqueline Amongin as the Women’s Council Representative for the Teso Sub-region.
The announcement was made through a letter signed by PLU Secretary General David Kabanda. Amongin is one of seven individuals appointed to various roles aimed at fostering development and addressing key issues in the Teso Sub-region.
Other Appointees Include:
- Peter Ogwang – Coordinator
- Hon. Aeku Patrick – Assistant Coordinator
- Mr. Elimu Richard – Committee Secretary
- Mrs. Akol Zipora – Publicity Secretary
- Mr. Okwi Michael Opepo – Elderly Council Representative
- Ms. Amulo Emily Sheila – Youth Council Representative
- Mr. Ojaman Simon Peter – PWD Council Representative
This team has been tasked with tackling corruption, minimizing the wastage of public resources, and engaging citizens to drive socio-economic transformation in the region.
Expressing her gratitude, Hon. Jacqueline Amongin took to social media, stating: “I am deeply honored and grateful to our Chairman, @Plugandaa Gen. @mkainerugaba, for the trust and confidence you have placed in me by appointing me as the Women’s Council Representative for Teso. Truly humbled to have your support and excited to take on this responsibility.”
