Missing Masindi man found dead
His body was discovered lying in a pool of blood in the same village.
Masindi: Joseph Wandeba 66, a resident of Alimugonza village in Kyakamese parish, Pakanyi sub-county in Masindi district who went missing has been found dead.
Wandeba reportedly went missing from his home on Friday. Family members reported the matter to the police who immediately mounted a search together with area residents in vain.
On Tuesday, Wandeba’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood in the same village. It was dumped in a bush with deep cuts on the head and left eye.
Moses Walimbwa, the deceased’s brother told Uganda Radio Network-URN in an interview that Wandeba was last seen in the area on Friday while in good health.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson told URN that a team of detectives from Masindi Central Police Station was dispatched to the crime scene and retrieved the body.
He says, though no suspect has so far been apprehended, all possible efforts are being made to ensure that all those who participated in the murder are arrested.
