He disappeared from home on June 13, 2024, due to the land wrangles.

Kikuube: Police in Kikuube district are hunting for two suspects in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old man.

The suspects have been identified as Rosemary Zamukunda and Tarasis Aliganyira, while the deceased has been identified as Posiano Ahimbisibwe, a resident of Karama Village, Kimbugu Parish, Kabwoya Sub County.

Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Regional Police Spokesperson, explained that the deceased disappeared from home on June 13, 2024, due to the land wrangles.

‘’He had land wrangles between his uncle Tarasis Ahimbisibwe and his stepmother Rosemary Zamukunda over the estate belonging to his late father,’’ Hakiza added.

Hakiza says that on June 15, 2024, an unidentified body was found in a sack of 100 kilograms in the coffee garden of one Alice Tumusiime, but later the body was identified as Ahimbisibwe by his relatives after police reached the scene.

He states that the body was taken to Kikuube Health Center IV for a postmortem, and it was discovered that he was strangled to death and put in the sack, then dumped in the coffee garden.
