Masindi woman killed by family cow
She was hit by the newly bought cow while taking it to drink water.
Masindi: Residents of Kisweramahinda village in Pakanyi subcounty, Masindi district, are mourning the death of their colleague after being hit by a family cow.
The deceased has been identified as Ruth Mbaherekyo, 74, who died Sunday afternoon after being hit by a cow belonging to his son Joshua Sunday.
Dovico Barugahara, the LC1 chairperson in Kisweramahinda village, told this publication that Mbaherekyo was hit on Saturday by the newly bought cow while taking it to drink water.
Barugahara added that Mbaherekyo, who sustained injuries on the head and in the chest, started bleeding through the nose and mouth before she was rushed to Masindi main hospital for treatment in critical condition, where she died at around 3 p.m.
The chairperson revealed that Mbaherekyo’s body was later taken back to Kisweramahinda for burial.
