Kisoro: An 84-year-old found dead along the roadside
He possessed documents indicating that he had been residing in Mpigi District.

Kisoro: Police in Kisoro District are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an 83-year-old who was discovered along the roadside in Kadama village, Gasovu parish, Nyarusiza sub-county.
The deceased has been identified as Claveri Sekalema, a resident of Kabaya village in Gasovu parish, Nyarusiza sub-county, Kisoro District. He possessed documents indicating that he had been residing in Mpigi District.
The lifeless body was found on the morning of October 31, 2023, around 7:00 a.m. along the roadside in Kadama village.
Elly Maate, the spokesperson for the Kigezi Region Police, told journalists that Paul Habimana reported the discovery of the body to the Muramba police post, which then informed the Kisoro Central Police station.
Maate further stated that the scene was thoroughly examined and documented, and statements were taken from pertinent witnesses.
In addition to this, the body of the deceased has been transported to the Kisoro Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination.
This incident is being treated as a suspected case of murder by assault and is under investigation at the Kisoro Central Police station under the reference number CRB:761/2023.
