Ankole: The Director of Radio Ankole, Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana, has appointed Elly Katahinga as station manager.
He has been serving as an assistant manager and a senior reporter at the same station for a long time.
Katahinga is going to be assisted by Cissy Ekyefamu and Kakama Odongo.
This comes after the death of Eliot Kabangira Magande last month at Mulago Hospital. Kabangira was the longest-serving media personality.
Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana, the Director of Radio Ankole and also a former Member of Parliament for Rushenyi County in Ntungamo District, said while appointing him that the contract serves a year on probation and he expects him to work harder.
He also said that he has given him everything and his hands off, hence expecting a lot from him.
