Kakumisro: The residents of Kijanji LCI in Kijanji Sub County, Kakumiro District, are in shock following the discovery of an unidentified woman who was murdered and her body dumped along Kihumuro Road.
The body was found Monday morning, naked, raising suspicions that she may have been raped before being killed by unidentified assailants.
According to Omuhereza Tinkamanyire, the first resident to arrive at the scene, his children discovered the body and alerted him. Omuhereza says he lives near the crime scene but did not hear any alarms or commotion.
Greater Kijanji LCI Chairperson Everisto Musekura condemns the incident, noting that the area has been peaceful.

Meanwhile, Deus Kabagambe, Kijanji Sub County District Councilor, criticizes late-night drinking in bars and nighttime movement, which he believes exposes individuals to significant risks.
By press time, Kakumiro Police had already arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter.
