Kakumiro police arrest three over murder, stuck with unidentified body

He says the children informed a boda boda man, who later informed the area councilor, and the body was taken to Kakumiro Health Center IV.

Kakumiro: Police in Kakumiro district have three suspects in their custody over the alleged murder of one Richard Bagonza, a 25-year-old resident of Kabubwa West, Kituma Parish, in Kibiijo Sub County.

Julius Allan Hakiza Albertine Region police spokesperson has identified the suspects as Patience Muzawimana, aged 40, Zapayi Ndagiyimana, 42 years, and Samuel Niyiyena, 25 years, all residents of the above area.

Its alleged that on the night of August 15, 2024, the suspects were in the bar drinking alcohol, and one only identified as Kyakabale, a concubine of Patience Muzawimana, picked a fight with Richard Bagonza, now deceased, over patience.

Hakiza disclosed that Bagonza was buying for patience alcohol, which annoyed Kyakabale, and in the morning of August 16, 2024, the deceased body was found lying on the road by the children who were going to school.

He says the children informed a boda boda man, who later informed the area councilor, and the body was taken to Kakumiro Health Center IV for postmoterm.
