Kagadi man arrested for beheading his son

These situations stressed him and could have compelled him to kill the son.

Kagadi: Kagadi police, in collaboration with residents, have mounted an operation and finally arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly beheaded and killed his 2-year-old son in Nyangereka A cell, Kagadi town council.

The suspect has been identified as Kusemererwa Tusiime, a resident of Nyangereka A cell, Kyomukama Ward in Kagadi Town Council.

It is remembered that on May 1, 2023, Kusemererwa allegedly beheaded his son, identified as Tusiime Mutegeki, and remained at large for over a year.

Since then, police have been searching for the murder suspect until he was nabbed on Sunday evening and taken to Kagadi Central Police Station for custody.

Speaking to this news portal last evening, Nyangereka A Cell chairman Peter Lule confirmed the arrest of Kusemererwa Tusiime and asked youth to embrace hard work and refrain from criminality.

Meanwhile, in May last year, shortly after the murder incident, Omuhereza Mbabazi Kusemererwa, the suspect’s mother, said Tusiime had separated from his wife after a domestic brawl, and the motorcycle he was riding had been taken away by his boss. These situations stressed him and could have compelled him to kill the son.

The police did not comment on the matter by press time.
