Kabale Regional Referral Hospital stuck with unidentified body
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
Kabale: Kabale Regional Referral Hospital is stuck with the body of an unidentified male adult, which was found yesterday along the road at Kamuterere village, Kakore Parish, Hamurwa Sub-County, Rubanda District.
The deceased is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing old white canvas shoes, a black trouser, and a black jacket and had a beard, was dark-skinned, and had a gap in his upper jaw.
According to a police statement, on the 2nd of October 2024, at around 7:30 a.m., a boda boda rider at Hakakondogoro stage spotted the body along the Kabale-Kisoro road and informed the authorities.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident. The police visited the scene, documented the case, and took the body to Kabale Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
Maate has appealed to the public, urging anyone with a missing relative to visit the hospital mortuary for identification so that the deceased can receive a proper burial. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
