JUST IN: NUP’s Bigirwa launches a political pressure group
The pressure group aims to elevate the Eastern region's role in Ugandan politics.
Jinja: The Kamuli Municipality Member of Parliament flag bearer for the National Unity Platform (NUP), Moses Bigirwa, has today, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, launched a political pressure group.
The event took place at their office in Jinja. The pressure group is contrary to the National Unity Platform.
The former Makerere University Guild President, along with a team of youth from Eastern Uganda, launched a political pressure group named the ‘Eastern Revolutionary Platform (ERP).
The pressure group aims to elevate the Eastern region’s role in Ugandan politics.
The team unveiled a fully appointed Secretary General, Spokesperson, and regional coordinators, with plans to expand their presence beyond Eastern Uganda.
The pressure group is headed by Moses Bigirwa as the president, deputized by Eng. Ivan Masha (Busoga), Adepho Francis is the secretary, Ndaula John is the spokesperson, and Ivan Balonda is the comptroller general.
They introduced the group’s slogan, ‘Eastern First’, with a black brand and interlocking fingers as its symbol.
