Kakumiro: Residents of Kyedikyo B village in Katikara Sub County, Kakumiro district, were shocked when Isak Tumuhairwe attempted to bury his daughter’s body at Christopher Mugisha’s home.

Tumuhairwe’s daughter, Oliver Atuhurire, was knocked down by Mugisha’s 16-year-old son on Friday evening while he was riding a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number UFV 268B in Kyedikyo.

Atuhurire was rushed to Albertine Hospital in Kisiita town council, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

It’s alleged that both parties later agreed that Mugisha would cover all the burial expenses, but he failed to do so, prompting the deceased’s family to attempt to bury the body in Mugisha’s compound.

The residents expressed shock upon learning about this bizarre incident.

Robert Sasiire, Chairperson LCI for Kyedikyo B village, condemned the act and asked the two parties to solve their issues amicably than violating the right of the dead.

Everisto Kabagambe, Chairperson LCIII for Katikara Sub County, called on both parties to maintain peace and live harmoniously in the village. He advised people to seek advice from leaders when necessary rather than violating laws.
