Congolese national perishes in Koboko road accident

She says the cause of the accident is still under investigation, and inquiries continue.

Koboko: A Congolese national has died in a fatal accident in Koboko district.

According to reports, the incident occurred on July 8, 2024, along the Koboko-Oraba Highway in Koboko District.

The accident took place at Awasiyo cell along the Keri-Saliyamusala road in Keri Town Council, Koboko District.

A red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number RDC 07AV688, ridden by Yakani Baba, collided head-on with a red Senke motorcycle with registration number RDC 07AU292, ridden by Bravo Bataki (aged 19) from Mozebondoko cell in DR Congo.

The West Nile Regional Police Spokesperson, Josephine Angucia, says that Yakani Baba, the rider of the Bajaj Boxer, died at the scene, while Bravo Bataki (19 years old), Denaya Moses (50 years old), and Bakole Ceassor (24 years old) were rushed to Koboko main hospital for treatment.

Angucia says the cause of the accident is still under investigation, and inquiries continue.
