Bus catches fire, burnt to ashes

Nwoya: A bus belonging to Nile Star bus company registration number UBF 003/Y on Wednesday morning caught fire while heading to Kampala.
It caught fire at Latoro along the Pakwach – Karuma Highway in Nwoya district as it was heading to Kampala.
Ongom David Mudong, the Aswa West Regional Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident and told this publication that all passengers aboard were safely evacuated.
‘’The bus got burned into ashes with the properties of passengers worth millions of shilling, but all passengers aboard were safely evacuated,’’ he confirmed.
The police officer asserted that the Nwoya territorial traffic police have instituted an inquiry into the incident to ascertain the probable cause.
