Bunyoro Kingdom mourns Chief Businge’s death

‘’His commitment to fairness and hard work left a lasting impact,’’ he said.

Masindi: Businge Frank’s passing away is a somber moment for Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.

As the chief of Masindi Municipality, he dedicated himself to serving the community diligently.

His son, Samuel Businge, revealed that his father succumbed to kidney complications on Sunday, April 28, 2024, around 7 p.m. while en route to Gulu hospital for treatment.

Despite seeking medical attention at various hospitals, including Masindi General Hospital, Mulago National Referral Hospital, and Kiruddu Hospital, Businge Frank could not overcome his health challenges.

Patrick Alinaitwe, the LC2 Chairperson for Western Ward, praised the late chief’s impartiality as a judge in their LC2 court.

‘’His commitment to fairness and hard work left a lasting impact,’’ he said.

Sserunkuma Abdullah, the Kingdom’s Parliament representative for Masindi district, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Businge Frank’s dedication to societal change.

Robert Rukahemura, the kingdom’s social affairs and cultural officer, mourned the loss of someone who bridged the gap between the kingdom and its subjects, fostering a sense of unity and love for Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.

Businge who has been the Kingdom’s chief for Masindi Municipality for over ten years will be laid to rest tomorrow at his home in Kijura Cell Central Division Masindi Municipality.
