Masindi: The Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Chief Prince (Okwir) Fred Mugenyi Ruchunya has asked the Babiito Clan members to unite and work together for development.
He said the clan members can only achieve their targets when they unite and work together rather than being divided. ‘’We can only achieve our targets when we unite and work together,’’ he added.
Ruchunya was recently addressing the Babiito clan members during a get-together recess held at the family of Ramathan Kasija and Amis Kanyabuzana in Kihamya Village, Miirya, Sub-County Masindi district.
Ruchunya also called upon the youth to always get involved in Kingdom activities so that they can benefit more from the kingdom.
‘’The kingdom is working hand in hand with the central government to see that we eradicate poverty in families. I therefore encourage the youth to desist from bad peer groups and work hard,’’ he said.
Ruchunya also called upon the clan members to always get involved and embrace the meetings that are always called upon by the clan heads. ‘’I applauded the clan leadership of Masindi for organizing such events aimed at bringing and joining the clan members together, which started in 2018.’’
Serunkuma Abudallah Omusiita, the chairperson of the business community, advised clan members to promote peace and unity.
‘’We should always have love, respect, and forgiveness for each other so that we can achieve more and be peaceful in the communities and societies where we are living,’’ he advised.
Hajji Nuuru Byaruhanga and other clan members at the event applauded all those who have supported them in all ways to see that the function is successful and promised to always do this for the Babiito.
