Buliisa tax administrators trained in revenue management
Last year, SEATINI Uganda and Oxfam Uganda collaborated with Buliisa authorities to launch a program aimed at enhancing local revenue for the benefit of all residents.
Buliisa: The Buliisa District tax administrators have been trained on technical capacity building for lower local government on local revenue management and automation.
The two-day training focused on technical capacity building for local government officials, specifically addressing local revenue management and automation.
Organized by KAWIDA and funded by SEATINI Uganda and Oxfam Uganda, the training aimed to empower tax administrators, including parish chiefs and town agents, with the necessary skills for effective revenue management.

Meanwhile, Professor Levi Musinguzi, the deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Buliisa, encouraged LC3 Chairpersons and Mayors to request weekly revenue performance reports from the chiefs to enhance tax collection.
Mr. Fred Lukumu, the Buliisa District LC5 Chairperson, expressed gratitude to SEATINI Uganda and OXFAM for their engagement, believing it will lead to improved revenue collection and better service delivery for the community.
