Kabale: The Masindi based Booma FC extended their lead in Uganda’s FUFA Big League with a 1-0 victory over Kigezi Home Boys in a tightly contested match on match day 6 at Kabale’s AL Stadium yesterday.
John Bosco Sempijja’s stunning 35th-minute goal sealed Booma’s first away win of the 2024/2025 season, handing Kigezi their first home loss.
With four wins from five games, Booma sits comfortably atop the league table with 12 points, four points clear of Gaddafi and Onduparaka, who share second and third places with eight points each.
Booma’s head coach, Michael Junior Lukyamuzi, reaffirmed their ambition to secure promotion to the Uganda Premier League, emphasizing their focus on fighting for points in each match.
Team captain John Wesley Kisakye added that they learned valuable lessons from their away defeat to Kataka FC and are determined to improve their away record to keep their promotion hopes alive.
