Balaam pledges to solve children and youth challenges as parliament vets newly appointed ministers

‘’I am here to solve the challenges of youth and children, which include, among others, unemployment, a lack of practical skills, and teenage pregnancies,’’ he posted.

Kampala: Earlier today, the Appointments Committee of Parliament vetted ministers appointed by President Museveni last week.

The committee, which conducted its business on camera, was chaired by Speaker Anita Among.

The ministers who were vetted include the State Minister for Youth, Balaam Barugahara; Kitgum Woman MP Lillian Aber; the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees; and the Designate Minister in Charge of Northern Uganda, Kenneth Omona among others.

The Minister of State for Gender, Labour, and Social Development (Youth and Children), Dr. Balaam Barugahara, says he has come to solve the challenges of the youth and children.

He was posted on his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, after being vetted by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee.

‘’I am here to solve the challenges of youth and children, which include, among others, unemployment, a lack of practical skills, and teenage pregnancies,’’ he posted.

Dr. Balaam applauded the committee for its warm reception.

‘’This morning, I appeared before Parliament’s Appointments Committee chaired by Rt. Hon. Annet Anita Among, the Speaker of Parliament, to be vetted following my appointment as the minister. I want to thank all the committee members for their warm reception.’’

He also applauded all his other friends and honorable colleagues for their support.
