Aswa East Regional Police Commander transferred, hands over office
He urged the community to extend the same honor, support, and hospitality to his successor as he continues his policing duties.
Kitgum: ACP Anatoli Katungwesi, the Aswa East Regional Police Commander, officially handed over office to SSP Okae Ben following his redeployment to Police Headquarters.
This transition comes after ACP Katungwesi successfully established the Regional Police Department in 2023.
In his handover remarks, ACP Katungwesi expressed his appreciation to the people of East Acholi for the support he received during his tenure.
He urged the community to extend the same honor, support, and hospitality to his successor as he continues his policing duties.
Additionally, ACP Katungwesi announced that Inspector of Police Oloya Joe would serve as the acting Aswa East Regional Police Public Relations Officer and Media Focal Person.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, ACP Katungwesi received his transfer letter from Police Headquarters Uganda.
The Aswa East Regional Police was established in August 2023, serving the four districts of Kitgum, Lamwo, Pader, and Agago.
