Kabarole: Kabarole District LCV Chairman Richard Rwabuhinga has been impressed by the construction works at Kiiko Health Center III, which, when completed,  will boost health services in the area and neighboring communities.

The modern health facility, which is 95% complete, comes with an Outpatient Department (OPD) structure, a general ward building, two staff houses, water harvesting tanks, and other facilities.

This was revealed during the Kabarole District Executive Committee (DEC) tour together with local leaders in the Town Council recently.

Rwabuhinga also revealed that the facility will be equipped with health workers, drugs, and the necessary medical equipment to become fully operational.

“We already have all the necessary medical supplies in our stores; we are just waiting for contractors to hand over the facility so that it can start operating,” he explained.

Bright Steven Jabao, the Mayor of Kiiko Town Council, commended the district leadership for establishing a public health facility in the area. He noted that local residents have been spending much on private facilities to access services.

Edinali Kwikiliza, the area district councilor, called for the consideration of qualified local residents in the recruitment process for the facility staff.
