SAD! Father allegedly poisons his children to death

He stated that investigations are currently underway to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Hoima: The community of Hoima Public Primary School and residents of Ngogoma village in Kikuube District are in mourning following the tragic deaths of three children in a suspected poisoning incident.

The victims, Solomon Asaba (Primary 5), Wilson Asinguza (Primary 1), and Happy Atugonza (Baby Class) were all learners at Hoima Public Primary School.

They allegedly died after being poisoned by their father, Wilson Kiiza, on Sunday evening at their home in Ngogoma village, Kinogozi parish.

Harriet Karungi Basemera, headteacher of Hoima Public Primary School, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, noting the family’s strong ties to the school community. The children’s mother is known to sell cassava to learners at the school.

Simplicio Tusiime, LC1 chairperson of Ngogoma village, confirmed that the children’s bodies remained at their home and were scheduled for burial on Monday.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region police spokesperson, confirmed the tragic incident and stated that investigations are currently underway to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the deaths.
