Kakumiro: Police in Kakumiro district are holding 24-year-old Elinest Tumusiime on allegations of defiling a 13-year-old girl.
The suspect is a resident of Ijumangabo B village, Nankulabye parish in Mwitanzige Sub County, Kakumiro district.

‘’He found me when I was fetching water; he dragged me into the coffee plantation and defiled me. When I tried to make an alarm, he threatened to kill me.’’
The Ijumangabo B LCI chairperson, Tumusingyize Robert, accused the suspect of being a drug addict. He is therefore advising the youth to refrain from drug abuse because it is a root cause of such cases.
