Mbale: His Highness Umukuka III Jude Mike Mudoma of Bugisu has warmly welcomed Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo to the Bugisu sub-region ahead of his planned visit.
The development was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Bugisu Cultural Institution, Steven Masiga, who told this publication that the institution has officially received a letter addressed to His Highness the Umukuka from House of Prayer Ministries International. The letter was signed by the founding Senior Pastor, Aloysius Bujjingo.
Masiga noted that the Bugisu Cultural Institution has worked closely with Pastor Bujjingo on a number of initiatives, particularly in promoting cultural activities through Salt Television and Salt Radio, which have consistently covered the institution’s programs. He also recalled that Pastor Bujjingo recently hosted His Highness the Umukuka and his entourage at House of Prayer Ministries International.
According to Masiga, Pastor Bujjingo’s itinerary while in Bugisu will include a courtesy visit to His Highness the Umukuka as well as the distribution of relief items to residents of Bududa District, specifically Bushika Sub-county. The relief exercise, dubbed “Luunga,” will involve the distribution of assorted items to support the community during the Christmas celebrations.
“As a cultural institution, we welcome Pastor Bujjingo’s visit and encourage our people to turn up in large numbers to receive him. He comes as God’s messenger to Bugisu, bringing good tidings to our people,” Masiga concluded.
