Thugs steal lightning arresters at Biiso Health Center

Buliisa: Unknown thugs have stolen lightning arresters at Biiso Health Center IV in Biiso Town Council Buliisa district.
The arrestors were installed in the newly constructed general ward, which is in the final stages of completion.
This was unearthed during the inspection by the Buliisa District Woman Member of Parliament, Norah Bigirwa Nyendwoha, on Tuesday evening.
The 100-bed general ward is being constructed by Bigirwa Norah.
To her dismay, Bigirwa discovered that the newly installed lightning arresters were stolen by unknown thugs.
‘’I didn’t know that the lightning arresters that were installed had been stolen even before the structure was completed; it’s really unfortunate,’’ she lamented.
The legislator challenged the public to be vigilant and protect the health center property, saying they were to improve health services in the district.
Bigirwa, who doubles as the chairperson of the foreign affairs committee, commenced the construction of a general ward at Biiso Health Centre IV in May 2023 in a bid to improve the health service delivery in the oil-rich Buliisa district.
Currently, patients are sharing the same ward at Biiso Health Center IV, resulting in a lack of privacy.
Biiso Health Center IV was constructed in 1995 and serves at least 300 people on a daily basis.
