Kitgum: Over 4,000 children from the greater Acholi sub-region have gathered for the Irene Gleeson Foundation’s (IGF) Children’s Camp, which kicked off on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the IGF Headquarters in Lulojo, Central Division.
Pastor Komagum Alfred, the Lead Pastor at Christian Community Church, confirmed the registration of the children, noting their arrival by Thursday evening, December 12.
On the camp’s opening day, the children were engaged in morning aerobics and took part in domestic activities such as cleaning the compound.
The camp aims to impart spiritual growth and deepen the children’s understanding of God, a core mission highlighted by Pastor Komagum.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of the participants, the event is supported by trained personnel, including members of the Uganda Police Force, staff from Kitgum Government Hospital, and IGF personnel.
