Teso youth consider local sanctions for NUP president over speaker Anita UK sanctions
This is in retaliation for his proud claim of pushing the UK government to recently sanction speaker Anita.
Soroti: A section of the youth in the Teso subregion has considerately agreed to issue local sanctions to national unity platform president (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi for inciting the UK government to sanction speaker Anet Among Anita.
This is in retaliation for his proud claim of pushing the UK government to recently sanction speaker Anita.
In today’s press conference held at the Hyde Park Hotel Soroti City, Mr. Brian Olyoko Mulonga, the Soroti City East former deputy speaker, says they are finalizing with consultations from local leaders to ban Bobi Wine from stepping his footsteps in Teso.
“Bobi Wine brags that he visited the UK and freely claims to be behind the sanction of the speaker; the homosexual bill was passed by the members of the parliament, not the speaker Anita as an individual, so as the youth of Teso, we are going to announce Bobi Wine never to step foot in Teso land,” said Mr. Mulonga.
Mr. Mulonga also added that for Speaker Anita to stand to defend the sovereignty of the people of Uganda and the country at large, it is not a wrong decision.
“We, as people of Teso, are ready to stand with our own daughter Anita, not for anything else but for being strong to defend the norms of Iteso,” added Mr. Mulonga.
Ms. Judith Akado, Soroti city Female councilor representing the people of Pioneer ward says the pride of Iteso is marriage and producing children so they cannot accept to be ripped by the money minded individuals who are against the bible.
“We, as Iteso, are ready to produce children as stated in the Bible between a man and a woman, but not man and man,” said Ms. Akado.
Mr. Francis Erau, the Soroti city renowned businessman who doubled as the chairperson of the of the Iteso community, said they are taking serious action to protest to the parliament to seek a clear explanation concerning the UK sanctions to the speaker.
“This must be made clear: if Anita is a criminal, let them sue her to the courts of law rather than disturbing her peace. We are going to parade all the streets of Teso and protest in Parliament; we cannot see our own being intimidated,” said Mr. Erau.
However, Mr. Erau called upon the Iteso cultural leader His Highness Paul Sande Emolot to interest himself in UK sanctions against the Speaker of parliament Anita.
