TERRIBLE: Woman beheads husband in Masindi

The postmortem report indicated that the deceased person succumbed to severe bleeding.

Masindi: The police in Masindi are hunting for a woman, only identified as Ruth, for allegedly cutting off her husband’s head.

Ruth, a resident of Kinenabuhere village in Bwijanga sub-county, committed the offense in the wee hours of Monday, moments after a disagreement with her husband, identified as Johnson Musinguzi, 28.

Investigations show that the couple spent Sunday night at a disco dance in Kinenabuhere Trading Centre. It is not known what sparked the disagreement that pushed Ruth to behead her husband.

However, area residents say that they heard Musinguzi screaming for help but found him in a pool of blood moments later. Bernard Aliko, one of the fast responders, said Musinguzi had already breathed his last when they arrived.

The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, Julius Allan Hakiza, told URN that the search for the suspect is ongoing.

Hakiza says that the police picked up the body from the crime scene and conveyed it to Masindi General Hospital for a postmortem.

It was later handed to the relatives for burial. The postmortem report indicated that the deceased person succumbed to severe bleeding.
