TERRIBE! Kumi man kills girlfriend after catching him cheating
The body of the deceased was taken to the Atutur hospital mortuary pending a postmortem.
Kumi: Police in Kumi district are investigating a matter of suspected murder of one Sulaima Musa, a 24-year-old peasant and a resident of Nandala cell, Nandala ward, Nakaloke Municipality, Mbale City.
Edson Obukulem, the acting East Kyoga Region Police Spokesperson, confirmed in a press statement that the police in Kumi Central Police Station were notified and a case was immediately registered under CRB 498/2024 of CPS Kumi.
He said the scene was visited by a team of police officers led by SP Edatu Cosmas, District Police Commander for Kumi.
“It’s alleged that the suspect and the deceased have been concubines at Nandala cell in Mbale city, and they had produced one child,” said Obukulem.
He added that the suspect then relocated to rent a house in Bazaar Cell in Kumi Municipality, where he has been doing business selling watermelon.
However, outside sources told ugreports.co.ug that on September 9, 2024, the deceased came and found the husband with another woman at home in Bazaar cell; they picked a fight, and he is suspected to have killed her during the night.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was taken to the Atutur hospital mortuary pending a postmortem.
Obukulem further added that the suspect, who was then identified as Ramathan, a male adult of about 32 years and a resident of Bazaar cell, Bazaar ward, North Division, Kumi municipality, is still on the run.
