Six arrested over theft of Palabek Kal HCIV items

Lamwo: Six individuals have been arrested for their involvement in the theft of items donated by the Office of the Prime Minister to Palabek Kal Health Center IV.
The arrests took place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, following an investigation into the missing items.
The theft was uncovered after a tip-off from Ms. Anena Sharon, the Hospital In-charge. After the donated items arrived over the weekend, a verification process revealed that over 20 items were unaccounted for.
This prompted immediate action from the office of the Lamwo District Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Sebastian Oswin Oguti, who confirmed the arrests.
The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are working to recover the stolen items. Palabek Kal Health Center IV, which was officially commissioned on October 5, 2024, by Hon. Onek Hillary Obaloker, the Minister of Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees, is a newly established health facility located in Palabek County, Lamwo District.
