SAD! Koboko bus crash leaves one dead, driver on run
Authorities urge the public to assist in locating the fugitive driver, emphasizing that he must face legal consequences.

Koboko: A tragic road accident involving a Devine Bus Company vehicle, registered as UAB 684T, has claimed one life and left several others injured after the bus overturned in Koboko CPS jurisdiction.
The incident happened on Friday, March 28, 2025. The bus was en route from Arua City to Adjumani when it lost control at Boyo, a steep slope, and overturned after hitting a pavement.
Police are actively searching for the driver, who fled after the crash.
Among the passengers was 70-year-old Deru Mazini, a resident of Origini Village, Keyi Sub-County, Yumbi District, who died on the spot.
Several injured passengers were rushed to Koboko Hospital for treatment. The exact number of victims is yet to be confirmed.
The police traffic team, led by the Koboko District Police Commander (DPC), visited the crash site. The wrecked bus remains at the scene, pending removal.
West Nile Regional Police Spokesperson SP Asea Collins confirmed that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the accident.
