SAD! Kagadi man stabbed to death by lover

He strongly condemned the act, emphasizing that violence is never a solution.

Kagadi: A tragic case of domestic violence in Kyomunembe Cell, Kyomukama Ward, Kagadi Town Council, has resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man.

The deceased, identified as Serwangi Gerald, was allegedly stabbed to death by his temporary lover, identified only as Ketty, using a sharp object.

Kagadi District Police Commander, SP Kenneth Ampurila, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect fled the scene and is currently on the run.

“The victim’s body has been taken to Kagadi General Hospital for a postmortem,” SP Ampurila said.

SP Ampurila revealed that both the victim and the suspect had consumed excessive amounts of alcohol prior to the violent altercation, which he suggested could have fueled the tragic event.

The police commander strongly condemned the act, emphasizing that violence is never a solution.

“It is unacceptable for individuals to take the law into their own hands. I urge the community to report cases of domestic violence to the police so we can investigate and ensure justice,” he added.

SP Ampurila called on the public to avoid substance abuse and to seek peaceful methods for resolving conflicts. He reminded residents of the importance of reporting domestic violence cases promptly to prevent such tragic outcomes.
