Religious leaders encouraged to promote unity and support
By promoting positivity, she believes the community can better navigate challenges and achieve greater success.
Jinja: State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Persis Namuganza, urged the community to foster unity and support one another’s achievements during a leaders’ fellowship at the Jinja City Chambers. The event was organized by Apostle Grace Lubega of Phanero Ministries International.
Namuganza emphasized the importance of celebrating others’ successes rather than rejoicing in their failures. Her message came ahead of a three-day crusade at the Jinja City Railway grounds, where she highlighted that a culture of negativity ultimately harms everyone.
“We must uplift each other,” she stated, advocating for a community built on encouragement and constructive feedback. By promoting positivity, she believes the community can better navigate challenges and achieve greater success.
Seeking guidance from Apostle Lubega, Namuganza called for prayers and support for individuals harboring malicious intentions within the community. She stressed the importance of following righteous leaders and prioritizing spiritual growth over material pursuits.
Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Richard Gulume Balyeino welcomed the upcoming crusade, praising its potential for community development. He urged religious leaders to engage youth in productive activities beyond church walls, emphasizing that while spiritual growth is vital, economic empowerment is equally important. “Churches heal spiritually, but our youth must also focus on personal development and productivity,” he remarked.
Apostle Grace Lubega, the chief organizer of the crusade, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from Jinja city authorities. He encouraged fellow religious leaders to support youth in income-generating activities, believing that the crusade will inspire many to return to God and contribute positively to the community.
Lubega noted that traditional education often stifled creativity, but now the church is a developmental force, training youth in creative skills. He mentioned that Phanero Ministries organizes medical camps and provides spiritual guidance to help the community thrive.
