He said that he will distribute to the counties of Toroma and Usuk.
Katakwi: Hundreds of people over the weekend received the State Minister for Education and Sports, Peter Ogwang, and escorted him to update his name in the NRM register in his village of Aale in Aliakamer parish.
The minister, who met in six villages, later moved to Katakwi High School, where he launched the distribution of over 10,000 government textbooks to all the government and private secondary schools in Ngariam County.
The head teacher for Katakwi High School, Joseph Opule, said the school has registered over 600 students, and studies are steadily moving.
James Engole, the chairperson of head teachers in Katakwi District, thanked the Minister for always having good lobbying ability, noting that Ngariam County in the whole country is the only one that has a seed school in each sub-county.
Irene Among, the secretary for education and community based in Katakwi District, asked the public to concentrate on leaders who value the importance of their electorates.
The text books donated include those for biology, agriculture, CRE, Ateso, fine arts, chemistry, physics, mathematics, history, Kiswahili, Chinese, and French.
Ogwang said that he will distribute to the counties of Toroma and Usuk too, and he is set to start talking to the public about good governance in all those counties.
