West Nile: There was Joy at Oasis schools Muni campus as oasis schools perform extremely best in the released primary leaving examinations.
According to the results, Oasis Abirichi campus registered 47 pupils in first grade, 2 in second grade and 1 in x out of the 50 registered pupils, oasis Obolokofu campus also known as the Annex campus got 30 in first grade and 19 in second grade making a total of 49 candidates who registered for the exams meanwhile at golden brain campus in Koboko, they registered 27 first grades and 13 second grades out of a total of 40.
Dradebo Bosco the school administrator attributes the success to the school chaplains who constantly supported the candidates spiritually and other stake holders.
Adole Patrick the head teacher oasis Abirichi campus says the success has been attributed the success to God and the board of directors’ for the timely intervention to the school.

A total of 797,444 candidates from 14,883 centres sat for these exams as per UNEB’s official records.
This is in contrast of the 749,347 candidates in 2023.
524,025 candidates were Universal Primary Education (UPE) beneficiaries.
The UPE centers were 11,451 in number.
Meanwhile 273,419 (34.3%) were from Non UPE schools and they accounted for 3,432 UNEB centers.
There was also an improvement in the candidates with Special Needs Education (SNE) category.
A total of 722,730 candidates have passed the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations.
The results released indicated that this number is higher than the 648,662 who passed the same exams the previous year.
According to UNEB, during the 2024 PLE exams, 84,301 representing 10.7% passed in division one, 397,589 in division two, 165,284 in division three, and 75,556 in division four.
A total of 64,251 totally failed the exams and are not eligible for admission to the Senior One class.
A higher proportion of the 2024 candidates passed in Division 2 and above level, as overall, the performance of candidates is better than that of 2023.
Meanwhile, the performance of candidates in the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in Kagadi District has been summarized, with notable improvements compared to the previous year.
A total of 6,941 candidates sat for the exams, with 93.4% achieving a pass rate, reflecting a positive trend in the district’s education sector.
According to the District Inspector of Schools, Omukwenda Alinda, the results indicate that 84% of candidates passed in Division 1 to 3, demonstrating significant progress.
However, male candidates outperformed female candidates, a trend that has remained consistent since 2023.
The data shows a decrease in the number of candidates who failed or were ungraded, with only 342 candidates falling into this category in 2024 compared to previous years.
There was also a slight decline in the number of candidates achieving Division 1, with 371 candidates in 2024 compared to 402 in 2023.
key performance statistics for the district indicate that In Division 1, there were 210 male candidates and 161 female candidates, totaling 371.
In Division 2, the male candidates numbered 1,756, while the female candidates were 2,144, bringing the total to 3,900.
For Division 3, there were 697 male candidates and 894 female candidates, making a total of 1,591.
In Division 4, 278 males and 344 females were recorded, resulting in a total of 622.
The number of ungraded candidates was 147 males and 195 females, totaling 342.
Lastly, in the “X” category, which represents incomplete results, there were 58 male candidates and 57 female candidates, giving a total of 115.
