Music, Games, and Big Savings: FlexiPay Transforms OBA Fest Experience

“Stanbic Bank is proud to have been a part of the OBA Fest experience, celebrating music, culture, and the vibrant spirit that defines Uganda,” Byakika said.

Kampala: The final edition of this year’s OBA Fest lit up the Millennium Grounds in Kampala on Saturday, closing the annual celebration with vibrant performances, energetic crowds, and a strong show of corporate support from Stanbic Bank’s FlexiPay, the event’s golden sponsor.

As the official ticketing and payment partner, FlexiPay powered transactions across the festival grounds, offering revellers juicy discounts on tickets and hosting Happy Hour activations on food and drinks that saw bell products going as low as UGX 1500/- a bottle.

Beyond the financial convenience, Stanbic Bank injected an extra dose of fun into the event with an impressive experiential setup that featured indoor games including snakes and ladders, basketball shoots, chess, and table football. These activities kept attendees engaged and entertained throughout the night.

While festival-goers enjoyed the interactive gaming hub, magic unfolded on stage with standout performances from some of Uganda’s top acts. Singers Kapeke, Tracy Mellon, Vinka, and Ray G thrilled the audience, with Ray G closing the night in style through a lively live band session.

DJs Eyo Marcus, DJ Buggie, Roja, and others kept the momentum high between sets, ensuring the crowd never had a dull moment. Their mixes seamlessly transitioned between genres while infusing familiar Ugandan sounds such as Binyanya and Kadodi, sparking waves of wild dance moves across the grounds.

Speaking about Stanbic Bank’s involvement, Joel Byakika, FlexiPay Distribution Manager, expressed pride in supporting an event that celebrates Uganda’s creativity and culture.

“Stanbic Bank is proud to have been a part of the OBA Fest experience, celebrating music, culture, and the vibrant spirit that defines Uganda,” Byakika said.

He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to national development and community empowerment, noting, “As a purpose-driven organization, we believe in driving Uganda’s growth and empowering her people. Our partnership with Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL), Swangz Avenue and other stakeholders reflects our commitment to strengthening the creative economy and promoting financial inclusion.”

Byakika added that Stanbic Bank remains dedicated to elevating festival experiences across the country. “We remain committed to creating spaces where talent thrives, communities connect, and innovation adds real value especially for women, youth and farmers” he said.
