Buyende: The Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babalanda, has called for a shift in mindset among the people of Buyende District, urging them to embrace creativity and explore various livelihood opportunities instead of depending solely on a single source of income.
She emphasized this during a visit to Baligeyea Memorial School in Nkodo Subcounty, Budiope West, Buyende District.
Babalanda highlighted the importance of skilling initiatives she has initiated to help locals diversify their livelihoods, particularly suggesting poultry farming as an effective way to combat poverty in the region.
In addition to promoting economic empowerment, Babalanda reaffirmed her commitment to improving infrastructure in the district. She pledged 100 bags of cement and 50 iron sheets to support the construction of the school.
