Masindi receives motorcycles to enhance service delivery
He is optimistic that the motorcycles will improve mobility and service delivery in the district.
Masindi: The Masindi district local government has received five motorcycles to improve mobility and service delivery.
Musa Kyamiza, the principal assistant secretary in the office of the CAO, said that out of the five motorcycles, two are under the department of agriculture and have been received under the National Oil Seed Program.
‘’Two motorcycles are for the health department to support immunization, while one is under veterinary to support the production of the livestock and disease surveillance.’’
Samson Natsambwa, the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, thanked the government of Uganda for the donation and asked the beneficiaries to use the motorcycles for the intended purposes.
He also asked them to use the motorcycles during work hours. ‘’These motorcycles are supposed to be used during working hours; in case of any problem, you will be held responsible.’’
While handing over the motorcycles recently, Patrick Asiimwe, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner, asked the beneficiaries to obtain riding permits and protective gear and take care of them as their own.
‘’Kindly get riding permits; if you don’t have, our ready is ready to support you in acquiring one. Make sure you have protective gear such as helmets, gloves, and shoes.’’
”We also asked the beneficiaries to avoid riding the motorcycles beyond 10 p.m. ‘’If we get them parked somewhere beyond 10 p.m., we shall take them back to the stores; in case of any emergency, kindly inform your supervisors,’’ he advised.
The presidential representative is optimistic that the motorcycles will improve mobility and service delivery in the district.
