Masindi High School Shines in 2025 UACE Exams

“I thank my parents and teachers for the support they have given me. Their encouragement has played a big role in my success,” Yunus said.

Masindi: There was jubilation at Masindi High School in Masindi Municipality after all students who sat for the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations excelled in their results.

Yosam Mugisha, the school administrator, said the school registered 30 candidates for the examinations. Out of these, 13 scored three principal passes while the rest obtained two principal passes, qualifying all of them for university admission.

Mugisha attributed the performance to the dedication and commitment of the teachers at the school.

“This success is a result of the hard work and commitment of our teachers who have continuously supported the learners throughout their academic journey,” he said.

He noted that this was the school’s first time presenting candidates for both O-Level and A-Level examinations since the current administration took over management of the institution. Mugisha pledged to parents that the school will perform even better in future examinations.

Mugisha also applauded parents for supporting the school by paying tuition on time and commended the staff for their commitment to teaching and guiding the learners to success.

One of the top-performing students, Muhammad Yunus, who scored 18 points in the combination of Physics, Economics, and Mathematics (PEM), thanked his parents and the school administration for supporting him throughout his studies.

“I thank my parents and teachers for the support they have given me. Their encouragement has played a big role in my success,” Yunus said.

He encouraged fellow students to remain focused on their studies if they want to achieve their goals.

Yunus said his dream is to become an engineer, noting that it has been his childhood ambition inspired by both his parents and teachers.

He urged students with future ambitions to remain disciplined and committed to their academics.
